BCD Travel is holding a block of rooms for Semester at Sea and reservations must be booked through BCD Travel in order to receive these special group discounts.

There will be a $10.00 per room charge for hotel only reservations made through BCD Travel. If you are booking your air with BCD Travel this $10.00 charge will be waived.

Financial Responsibility when requesting a Roommate: If we are able to assign you a roommate, you are committed to half the cost for the date(s) booked. In fairness to your assigned roommate, whether you cancel or no show, half of the room and tax for your planned stay will be billed to your credit card.

In Norfolk, VA, we have rooms held at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel Norfolk, VA. Rooms are being held at the Four Points by Sheraton from June 13 to 17, 2009 and at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel Norfolk, VA from August 21 to 24, 2009. (Please be advised that rooms are available for other dates upon request. Room availability at both hotels is limited and is on a first come, first served basis.)

Semester at Sea group rate:$165.00 Canadian plus 13% Sales Tax and 2% Levy Tax - single or double – (at this time the US conversion is $133.06 US). For a third or fourth person in the room with the existing bedding please add $20.00 for the third person and another $20.00 for the fourth person to the room rate. Rooms have either one King Bed or 2 Queen Beds.

Note: For parents & friends traveling from the states to Halifax; please be advised that proper documentation is required for traveling to and from Halifax, NS. The U.S. law requires that Americans entering the U.S. from Canada by air (including those returning by air from short trips to Canada) must have a valid passport. Halifax Airport Transfers
Limousine and taxi services, as well as car rentals, are available at Halifax airport. Airport bus service to Halifax hotels from Halifax International Airport costs $19 (Canadian) one-way. Airbus has regular bus service from the Halifax airport to most major hotels in Halifax. Regular taxi fare to Halifax from Halifax International Airport is approximately $45 each way. The trip takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

The SAS Room Rate per night is $129.00 (single or double) plus 13% tax along with a $1.00 flat bed tax per room per night. There is a $15.00 charge for each additional person in the room.
