Welcome to the BCD Travel Semester at Sea Summer 2007 Travel Site

BCD Travel has been designated as the Official Travel Agency for the Summer 2007 Voyage of Semester at Sea. Your voyage is set to depart San Diego (Ensenada, Mexico) on Sunday, June 17, 2007 with your return back into San Diego, California on Tuesday, August 21. On June 17, bus transportation between San Diego and Ensenada is being arranged by Semester at Sea and BCD Travel and more information will be advised approximately 2 weeks prior to departure.

For your departure from San Diego we have rooms reserved from June 15-18 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. Room availability at the Sheraton is limited and is on a first come first served basis. Please be sure to book your rooms as early as possible to avoid being disappointed! Rooms have also been reserved at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina for your return back into San Diego on Tuesday, August 21, 2007. Please keep in mind that one month prior to your sailing and your return we must turn back to the Sheraton any remaining group space that has not been booked – so please book early to avoid space or group rate being sold out. For your departure on June 17^th the cut-off date for being able to accept hotels reservations at the group rate of $159.00 is Thursday, May 17^th and for your return into San Diego on August 21^st the cut off date for being able to accept reservations at the group rate is Friday, July 20^th.

You may be asking yourself, why should I book my reservations with BCD Travel? A few reasons would be - For your departure BCD Travel has arranged for a special Semester at Sea Student and Family group discounts at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. BCD Travel is able to check all airline schedules and rates in one easy phone call, rather than you having to check each individual airline. Also, BCD Travel will have a Representative on site in San Diego to make sure that the hotel has your room waiting for you upon arrival and to assist with arrangements for transportation to the pier on departure day. In addition, BCD Travel has a 24 hour/7 days a week fully staffed Emergency Department that you can call if you are having travel problems enroute to your destination. Also, booking with BCD Travel insures that you will be staying at a First Class hotel that is conveniently located to the airport and pier and that you will be staying with other Semester at Sea Students and families. Many times we have students who want to share a hotel room to keep their costs down and BCD Travel will assist you in securing a roommate. Also, please be assured that you will be receiving the best available rate at the hotels booked.

We ask that you please share this information with your parents and families as they may want to plan a family vacation in San Diego and at the same time be on hand to wish you a "Bon Voyage" or possibly they would like to meet you when you return back to San Diego in August.
