Welcome to the BCD Travel Semester at Sea Fall 2008 Travel Site

BCD Travel has been designated as the Official Travel Agency for the Fall 2008 Voyage of Semester at Sea. Your voyage is set to depart Nassau, Bahamas on Friday, August 29 with your return to Miami, Florida on Sunday, December 14, 2008.

For your departure from Nassau, we have rooms reserved from August 21 to August 31 at the world famous Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island. For your return into Miami, space has been reserved from December 11 to December 15 at the Sofitel Miami which is located near Miami International Airport. Please be advised that rooms are available for other dates upon request. Room availability at all hotels is limited and is on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately, space is extremely limited at Atlantis, so please be sure to book your rooms as early as possible to avoid being disappointed! Please click the hotel button at the top of this page for more information. All group space that is unsold will be turned back over to Atlantis on July 25, 2008. It is necessary that you call BCD Travel for the special group rates at Atlantis and Sofitel as they are not available by calling the hotel directly.

BCD Travel is able to check all airline schedules and rates in one easy phone call, rather than you having to check each individual airline.
BCD Travel will have a Representative on site in Nassau to make sure that the hotel has your room waiting for you upon arrival and to assist with arrangements for transportation to the pier on departure day.
BCD Travel has a 24 hour/7 days a week fully staffed Emergency Department that you can call if you are having travel problems enroute to your destination.
Booking with BCD Travel insures that you will be staying at First Class Hotels that are conveniently located to the airport and pier and that you will be staying with other Semester at Sea Students and Families.

We ask that you please share this information with your parents and families as they may want to plan a family vacation in Nassau and at the same time be on hand to wish you a "Bon Voyage" or they would like to meet you in Miami to welcome you home. Please note that for parents and family traveling to Nassau – the U.S. State Department has new rules requiring that effective December 31, 2006, all individuals traveling to Caribbean destinations will now require a passport. Please refer to www.travel.state.gov or call the U.S. National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778 for further details on these new passport requirement.
