ATTENTION SAS STUDENTS AND FAMILIES: Any unsold rooms at the Sofitel Miami Hotel will be turned back to the hotel on November 11, 2008. In order to take advantage of the Semester at Sea special group rate of $139.00 per night + tax (double occupancy) YOU MUST BOOK YOUR ROOM WITH BCD TRAVEL BY NOVEMBER 11.
Please do not call the hotels directly to book your room. Click the "Register Now" button at the top of this page to make your reservations. BCD Travel is holding a block of rooms for Semester at Sea and reservations must be booked through BCD Travel in order to receive this special group discount.
There will be a $10.00 per room charge for hotel only reservations made through BCD Travel. If you are booking your air with BCD Travel this $10.00 charge will be waived.
Financial Responsibility when requesting a Roommate: If we are able to assign you a roommate, you are committed to half the cost for the date(s) booked. In fairness to your assigned roommate, whether you cancel or no show, half of the room and tax for your planned stay will be billed to your credit card.
In Nassau, we have a block of rooms held at the Atlantis Paradise Island Hotel which is located on Paradise Island. In Miami, we have rooms held at the Sofitel Miami. Rooms are being held at the Sofitel Miami from December 11 to December 15, 2008.
Please be advised that rooms are available for other dates upon request. Room availability at all hotels is limited and is on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately, space is extremely limited at Atlantis & Sofitel ~ so book your room NOW!!! Don't be disappointed!!! All group space that is unsold will be turned back over to Atlantis on July 25, 2008 and any unsold rooms at the Sofitel Miami Hotel will be turned back to the hotel on November 11, 2008. It is necessary that you call BCD Travel for the special group rates at Atlantis and Sofitel as they are not available by calling the hotel directly. Please be sure to check with your parents to see if they would like to be on hand to wish you a "Bon Voyage" or to welcome you home by combining your departure or arrival with a mini family vacation!
Miami
For your return into Miami we have reserved space at the Sofitel Miami. Room rate per night is $139.00 plus tax (13% tax). Rooms are reserved from December 11 - 15, 2008. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the Miami International Airport in the Blue Lagoon area and offers complimentary airport transportation.

Semester at Sea group rate: $179.00 single or double - Rooms are located in the Coral Tower of Atlantis (add $45.00 per person for additional person in room.) Rate is plus 12% room tax, $15.00 per person Maid, pool, beach, gratuity and utility surcharge, $6.20 per person one time charge for bellmen. These charges are subject to change without notice & are government controlled.
PLEASE NOTE: Atlantis requires a two night deposit to hold room reservations. (this will be charged to your credit card approximately 30 days prior to arrival) This deposit will be non – refundable. Any cancellations within 30 days will forfeit the two night deposit. Any no shows will be charged for the full length of stay. All taxes, gratuities and resort service fees will be charged upon departure. Please be sure of your dates when making Atlantis Hotel Reservations. Upgraded accommodations for Parents and Families while at Atlantis are available and on a request basis. Please advise BCD Travel Agent at time of booking and you will be called back regarding your request.
Note: For parents & friends traveling from the states when the ship departs, please be advised that proper documentation is required for entrance and departure into Nassau. A valid Passport is required for travel to Nassau beginning in 2007. (Please note that all taxes and surcharges are subject to change at any time by the Bahamas Government).
